Our client located in Kent, WA is looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Developer to join their talented IT team. Interested individual must possess a passion for partnering with all aspects of the business to produce successful business strategies, find cost-effective solutions and increase value for shareholders. Essential for this position is extensive business intelligence design, development, and support experience using Microsoft software development tools and technology stack.

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of Business Intelligence capabilities. Help users “surface” hidden relationships, and create fresh business insights. Accelerate IT and business productivity via ad-hoc and self-service reporting, sophisticated multi-dimensional analysis, dashboards, etc.
• Hands-On leadership in the development of data delivery applications using Microsoft business intelligence tools, focused in SQL Server Analysis Services, SQL Server Reporting Services, Excel Services, Performance Point.
• Analyze complex business problems in collaboration with stakeholders and assess how automated systems and business process changes can solve them.
• Help drive a consistent set of standards across the company for application architecture and design, software development methodology, and other IT related areas. Participates in the development and maintenance of corporate data architecture, data management standards and conventions, data dictionaries and data element naming standards.
• Actively maintain and nurture relationships with business and technical leaders across organization in an effort to understand business opportunities, pain points and requirements as the foundation for engineering efforts, models and tools. Influence key individuals across the organization to achieve results.

Requirements:

• Minimum of ten (10) years development experience with extensive working experience in designing and building data warehouses, data marts. Expert developing multi-dimensional structures using SQL Server Analysis Services 2005/2008 as well as developing end user reporting in SQL Server Reporting Services 2005/2008 and with database reporting tools (Crystal Reports, MS Access, etc.). Understanding of building security models for drill level access to cubes as well as within the physical dimensional schema.
• Expert developing business applications in a SQL Server 2000/2005/2008 environment in both relational and multi-dimensional environments. Proficiency in TSQL, MDX, XML. Proven experience working within teams to design and develop medium scale, global, enterprise-wide business applications.
• Solid understanding of modern application architectures, development methodologies and tools is needed. Demonstrate advanced understanding of change and release management practices and tools. The candidate should have exemplary experience in software development.
• Expertise in the design, development and deployment of enterprise-level N-tier applications on the MS .Net platforms is needed.
• Experience with concepts, tools, and platforms that involve SOA, ESBs, orchestration, BPM, presentation-layer integration with portals is highly desirable.
• Must be comfortable with ambiguity and fast change with an ability to adapt quickly and easily. Ability to analyze complex problems and move them to resolution.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills. Positive attitude and ability to build strong relationships within the company and with external partners.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of experience and training.

Job Summary:

The Systems Engineer will be a member of the team responsible for supporting the hardware and software infrastructure for their corporate office. The Systems Engineer is responsible for but not limited to: setup and daily maintenance of dedicated and pooled hosted environments, administration of all Windows systems, administration of all components of the network and storage tiers, system design documentation and assessment of new technologies.

Job Duties:

• Tuning the operating systems and virtual machines for optimum performance.
• Reviewing existing processes and recommending changes or instituting new processes as necessary, including the areas of monitoring, upgrades, and tuning.
• Participate in application customization discussions and technical implementations.
• Generate high-quality project documentation, such as architecture designs, implementation plans, design documents, test plans, etc.
• Provide documentation, training and technical escalation applicable for day-to-day administration and change requests for Web servers, Utility servers, Batch servers, Database servers including the following: build/rebuild requests, event log monitoring and review, performance analysis, hardware performance monitoring (MOM, etc.), customer derived issues, purchase needs analysis, disk backup processing and domain management
• Research ROI factors and manage projects related to systems including application upgrades and data center changes/moves.
• Provide physical support and troubleshooting for the maintenance of switches and firewalls including cable management.
• Document maintenance activities, failure analysis results, incident reports, penetration analysis, audit results and activities related to management of small-scale projects.
• Provide technical escalation and be on call via pager during designated periods.
• Diagnosing, as appropriate, complex systems issues with multiple influencing factors which may require interaction with vendors to resolve problems.

Qualifications:

1. 5-7 years in a technically related field.
2. Bachelor Science degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent years of work experience.
3. Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining system infrastructure components.
4. Expertise in Win2000/2003/2008 Servers and services like Active Directory/DNS/WLBS.
5. Expertise in MS SQL Server 2005/MS SQL Server 2008, including SQL Server operations, configuration and tuning, backup and recovery, transaction log management, cluster configuration, maintenance, performance tuning, indexes, and SQL query optimization.
6. Excellent Troubleshooting and Debugging skills for the Microsoft Platform (including IIS & SQL Server) & applications built on the Microsoft stack.
7. Excellent knowledge of VMWare ESX 3.5 and 4.0.
8. Strong technical knowledge of Exchange Server.
9. Knowledge of Networking and Hardware Standards, including TCP/IP, firewalls, switches, routers, V-LANs, NAS, SANS, DNS, Communications, Sockets, Active Directory, and load balancers.
10. Solid understanding of security concepts, principles and practices, including fundamental knowledge of OSI model.
11. Knowledge of Windows Terminal Server.
12. MCSE / MCITP/ MCSA certification preferred.
13. Experience in cable management techniques.
