.Net Data Engineer

Our client located in downtown Bellevue, WA has an immediate need to add a Data Engineer for this full-time employment opportunity to work on a critical data component of their platform. This will be a position responsible for creating and maintaining Domain Expert repositories, which are similar to ontologies in semantic web technologies.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provision data from different sources to be used for development and/or maintenance of DEs
• Associated tasks may include: scraping; cleaning of scraped data; indexing; integration with 3rd-party software
• Develop and maintain user interfaces of applications using DEs
• Development of hands-on knowledge of clients’ software products

DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• 3+ years experience as an SDET-level developer
• 3+ years programming experience writing C# and .NET software with web services integration
• 2+ years experience writing applications on Microsoft SQL Server; must know how to write, use and manipulate SQL queries
• 2+ years experience using AJAX, JSON, XML, JavaScript, server-side HTML
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Demonstrated ability both in working independently, as well as in being an effective team member

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering or related discipline.
